KRATKI SADRŽAJ

Istraživanje svemira u punom je jeku te 1986. godine. Svemirom i znanošću opsjednut je i jedanaestogodišnji Jim koji s ocem, astrofizičarem, seli u novi grad. Odmah po dolasku u novu školu dobije zadatak da, kao i ostali učenici, sudjeluje u natjecanju mladih znanstvenika. Dolazi na ideju da oživi znameniti Kittingerov projekt. Unatoč početnom protivljenju, Emma (djevojčica iz razreda s kojom u paru mora napraviti projekt za natjecanje), pristaje na njegovu ideju i zajednički izrađuju ogromni zračni balon. Jim u inat ocu i Emma u inat majci ne žele odustati od projekta…
