Dječak Dani živi sa svojom sestrom i majkom u siromašnim uvjetima. Majka teško radi kako bi ih mogla prehraniti. Budući da nemaju dovoljno hrane, ona gotovo ništa ne jede. Dani je zabrinut za nju pa provodi svoj plan u djelo. U tome mu pomaže mlađa sestra.
